What is the best mini laptop out there for a decent price?

I’ve been looking at these mini laptops lately because I currently own a laptop (3 years old and almost full). My laptop is huge. Its got a 17.1" screen and doesn’t even fit any bags that I have. So carrying two bags around campus sucks.

I looked at a couple like Dell and HP. I don’t want to purchase one that is going to be a waste. I’m looking for:
-At least 1 Gig of RAM if not 2
-Windows XP or 7
-160 Gig or more HDD

I was wondering if anybody out there could suggest some of the best ones on the market?

If you want personalized, reliable and quick advice, you should check out http://www.procompare.com/top/laptops . They have a recommendation engine that ranks laptops and other tech products based on reviews from a community of trusted computer consultants. They also have a cool personalization slider that lets you optimize the results based on the criteria that are most important to YOU.

Hope you’ll find this answer useful…

this hp mini is truly amazing.

I highly recommend it. It may not have as much video memory as some other netbooks out there, but is video really a concern in one of these little dreams? no. Its enough to watch a video, and windows 7 runs fine on it. It has a 160 gb hard drive, which shouldent be too hard to upgrade. Upgradeable to 2 gb ram…
