What is the best anti virus for my toshiba netbook?

I recently bought a Toshiba net book with Windows 7 starter. I want to keep it secure and protected. It came with a free Norton trial but it’s almost over. Which is the best anti virus for a person that surfs the web a lot, checks emails, watches videos and movies online, and often downloads documents from blackboard learning system (a website for my internet college courses)?

    Go with AVG, they have free and non-free options, depending on your circumstance, I would just do free.

    I recommend NOD32 from http://www.eset.com
    It is very good at protecting your computer and does not take up many resources.

    Personally I’d go with the Norton NIS. However, there are others in this PC Magazine review. I suggest you choose one of the better ones.
