notebook: which model do you suggest?

Hi,
I am looking for a new notebook. I want it to be small, even if not the mini.
I read a lot on pc so I’d like a light model that I can easily take with me for home, and put on the bed or wherever. A mac air would be the best choice as for sizes/weight, but I think I still need a pc for some things.
Any opinion?
Thank you
I think I prefer sony and asus…superior to dell, no?

I believe that you are looking for ultra-thin laptops or a laptop that is pretty light right?
    in that case,
HP – Pavilion Laptop with AMD Athlon™ Neo X2 Dual-Core Processor – Modern Argento
    $549.99
(light weight, dual core processor, 6 hours long battery life, ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics)

maybe the right laptop for you.

However, if you are looking for more portable power (meant towards gaming, lower battery life, slightly heavier):

ASUS X83VP-A1 NoteBook Intel Core 2 Duo P8700(2.53GHz) 14.1" Wide XGA 4GB Memory DDR2 800 500GB HDD 5400rpm DVD Super Multi ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 – Retail
    $999.99

    or

    SONY VPCCW18FX/B NoteBook Intel Core 2 Duo P7450(2.13GHz) 14" 4GB Memory DDR3 1066 320GB HDD 5400rpm Dual layer DVD Burner NVIDIA GeForce GT 230M – Retail
Equipped with Intel P7450, NVIDIA GT 230M + Win 7
    $899.99

(The ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 is a better graphics card compared to the NVIDIA GeForce GT 230M)

A MacBook Pro, No doubt about it, you don’t need a PC its just a myth, I would choose any apple product, they last longer and are worth more over time…

    Hello Sorfrena;

Good choice as Mac’s are well known for havening a better Operating System that is a little more secure.

However, There are important issues such as SUPPORT.

These web sites will help you to make a wise choice as they test and evaluate and have a lot of feedback from owners.

Support will be a big part of the information you will gain from this as well as stuff like cost. and software included. How is the battery? How do people like the keyboard? Etc. Etc.

Any time you ask on a site like this you will find "Mine is better"

    Good luck
    tom

If you have a PC try to stick to a laptop that will be easy for the two to talk to each other.
Yes i am a fan of MAC,but it is a Microsoft word (please no flaming).
Try any brand name with a warranty back up.
