Best netbook for my money?
So I am looking into buying a netbook for when I start my college classes. I have a laptop but the battery life on it is horrible and it’s too heavy to carry to and from school. So I was wondered what would be the best netbook for my money. I just want to use it for school to write notes, write papers, and access the internet. Money is not a problem. Cheaper the better but I want it to be worth it. Thanks!
I suggest a Dell or Asus netbook. They are relatively cheap and last a long time.

Hi there,
I believe a netbook is a good choice for you. Small, light weight and very functional.
Almost all the netbooks are basically the same inside. One difference is screen size, some are 12 inches and some are 10 inches.
You can check out the review below which mostly favors Asus Eee PC (which come in various sizes).
My advice would be to actually go to an electronics store and try out the various models to see which one you like better. that’s the one I would purchase.
Before buying check out their return policy (in case you do not like it or something fails). I would go with a vendor that allows returning to the store; and not the one that requires you to deal with the computer manufacturer.
Along with the netbook I would purchase a USB DVD/CD reader/writer (you will want to save your class work somewher different than your PC) and you will be able to watch DVD video sometimes.
Also buy a ‘corded’ mouse. Much easier to use than the touchpad for editing your reports. Everyone uses the cordless mouse but the corded is more trouble free (no batteries and no problems with detecting). I have had two cordless mice and do not use them now.
Hope this helps,
Al
